Travel from Ozurgeti to the Gomismta resort is now possible in just 45 minutes via a newly rehabilitated 21 km modern, comfortable, and safe road. The full rehabilitation of this 21 km section of the 33 km route was completed this year, ensuring full compliance with road safety standards and all necessary requirements for a domestic road.

As part of the project, the road surface and artificial structures were renovated, connections to local roads were arranged, and bus stops and passenger waiting pavilions were installed. The road was also equipped with traffic signs, barriers, reflective posts, and lane markings.

Several landslide-prone areas were stabilized, with monitoring continuing on one specific section. Thus, it can be said that the upgraded road now fully meets the established standards.

The company New Road recently completed the rehabilitation of the road leading to Bakhmaro in the Guria region. In total, more than 71 km of domestic roads have been rehabilitated and constructed in Guria as part of various road infrastructure projects.
